Seismic structure of oceanic crust, borehole seismology, depositional patterns and facies models of deep marine sediments, development of continental slopes, rises, and marginal seas; erosion, transport, and deposition of deep-sea sediment; environmental impact of deep-sea manganese nodule mining; marine geology and tectonics in the Middle East.
