Research Interests

Field and laboratory investigation of melting, melt migration, and melt/rock reaction in the upper mantle; magmatic accretion of the oceanic and continental crust: geodynamics of melting and melt extraction from the mantle at spreading ridges, rifting continental margins, and in subduction-related magmatic arcs; field and laboratory investigation of crustal melting processes in the oceans and continents, specifically in the Himalayas; precious metal deposits in layered mafic intrusions.
