Research Interests

Oceanic volcanism and the composition, structure and evolution of the oceanic lithosphere; geological oceanography; mantle melting processes, mantle metasomatism and the genesis and evolution of ancient continental lithosphere and associated diamonds; layered mafic intrusions and the formation of igneous ore deposits; behaviour of platinum group elements in the mantle and crust; origin and nature of mantle plumes through geochemical and multi-isotopic studies, continental break-up and formation of flood basalts; outreach and education regarding Earth Science, Oceanography and mineral resources.
