Research Interests

Seismic structure of oceanic crust. Deep-sea exploration of mid-ocean ridge systems. Multidisciplinary study of vent systems. Multibeam mapping of mid-ocean ridges, continental margins, and arc systems. Marine archeology. Metadata applications, data archiving, and observatory cyberinfrastructure.

Skills

Extensive sea-going experience with Ocean Bottom Seismology (OBS) groups at WHOI and Scripps. Editing of multibeam bathymetry data and creation of maps using 'mbsystem' and 'gmt' application software. Assistant SSSG technician experience aboard R/V Atlantis. Image and video archiving using ALVIN Framegrabber software. Cruise report writing experience. Group website maintenance. MS Word, Excel
