Maintenance on WHOI vehicles is performed in-house at our Vehicle Maintenance Facility located in the Quissett Warehouse area. Our Vehicle Mechanic, Troy Kelley, performs routine and emergency maintenance on the WHOI fleet which presently consists of 14 trucks, 10 vans, 13 forklifts, 2 cranes, and 2 bobcats. On occasion, major component work is handled by a few, select, outside vendors.

In addition to performing maintenance of the WHOI fleet, our Vehicle Maintenance department handles the registrations and annual inspections of all vehicles. This includes the many boat trailers that belong to the institution.

For emergencies with WHOI vehicles on weekends or other times outside of normal working hours please contact WHOI security.

Emergency towing is handled by Sylvester’s. Their phone number is (508) 548-5004. Please have the vehicle towed to our Vehicle Maintenance Facility in Quissett.
