R/V Knorr Boats

An 18-foot Avon rigid inflatable work boat powered by an 80 hp outboard motor is carried on board. The Avon is operated by a member of the ship's crew after being launched with the ship’s crane.

The rescue boat carried on board is for emergency service only and cannot be used for science projects.
