research funding, (up 13.6 percent
over 2006), was driven primarily
by growth in funding from the
National Science Foundation and other non-government.

31 masters and doctoral degress awarded from the Institution's Joint Program with the Massachusetts Institution of Technology
25 new students enrolled into the MIT/WHOI Joint Program bringing total enrollment into the program to 137
