Bring the ocean to your inbox
From a small boat, while scouting for jellyfish, R/V Oceanus Chief Mate Ethan Galac took in views of the 177-foot ship. He and other crew members were helping scientists Larry Madin and Erich Horgan find a good spot to dive for jellies in the Red Sea. The trip was designed to advance scientific understanding of Red Sea oceanography, through research sponsored by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology.
