Anna-Mai Christmas, an undergraduate at the University of the Virgin Islands, worked with WHOI biologist Scott Gallager to study the behavior of week-old lobster larvae exposed to layers of water of different temperatures, in an effort to understand how this may affect wild lobster distribution. Christmas took part in the Partnership Education Program (PEP), hosted by six Woods Hole, Mass. institutions to attract students from underrepresented groups for a summer of science study and research in Woods Hole.
