Senior Administrative Assistant Telephone: (508) 289-2842 Fax: (508) 457-2189 E-Mail: sbotelho@whoi.edu BIOGRAPHY: Sandy (Botelho) Sherlock started at the Institution as a Staff Assistant in October 1986 in the Purchasing Department Office (Geosecs). She transferred to the Office of Sponsored Programs (Challenger House) in 1989, also as a Staff Assistant. In 1994 the name of our office was changed to Grant and Contract Services and we were relocated to Bell House. The move to Fenno House was completed in July 2007. Prior to joining the Institution, Sandy worked at Plymouth Savings Bank in Falmouth for five years as a Bank Teller, handling Supervisory and Head Teller duties. RESPONSIBILITIES: Processes all Institution proposals; Processes all Agency awards; Maintains WHOIgrants database of propsals and awards for completeness and accuracy; Generates monthly reports for colleagues from WHOIgrants database; Processes declined and withdrawn proposals; Monitors the Institution Conflict of Interest Policy as it pertains to proposals and awards; Processes NSF Closeouts (including monthly reminders); Provides administrative office support to the GCS Team including ordering supplies, collecting and distributing mail, and being Key Operator for the copy machine.

Handles the National Science Foundation (NSF) grants, NOAA Grants, Subcontracts with NSF Prime, and Internal Institution research projects, including closeouts. Generates reports for the Directorate on a monthly basis.
Grants Administrator II Telephone: (508) 289-2369 Fax: (508) 457-2189 E-Mail: smmurphy@whoi.edu BIOGRAPHY: Steve arrived at the Institution in 1997 from Raytheon where he had been a program analyst and later a department administrator in the Waltham, Wayland, Sudbury, Tewksbury and Quincy facilities. Steve has a B.A. in Politics from the University of Massachusetts Boston. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for NOAA Contracts and NOAA CINAR and CICOR, U.S. Geological Survey, U.S. Army, U.S Air Force contracts and cooperative agreements, Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, and Non-NSF Subcontracts from Government and Non-Government Primes. Also responsible for non-federal government contracts and grants, along with foreign awards.
Grants Administrator II Telephone: (508) 289-2360 Fax: (508) 457-2189 E-Mail: bgriffin@whoi.edu BIOGRAPHY: Bonnie Jean Griffin started at the Institution as a Grant Administrator II in January 2005 in Grant and Contract Services. Prior to joining the Institution, Bonnie Jean worked at Marine Biological Laboratory for four years as a Research Assistant to the Manager of Sponsored Programs in the Financial Services Department. Bonnie Jean is also a Certified Paralegal and is licensed in Real Estate. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for ONR Grants, NOAA Sea Grant, NIH Grants, NASA Grants, Non-Government Grants, WHOI Suspense Accounts, and Royalty accounts. Responsible for grant and contract setup and closeout.
