Margaret will discuss the role climate science has played in the recent federal efforts to develop laws and regulations to address climate change and the impacts of climate policy on how the public and decision makers think about the science and the climate scientists.
For over 20 years, Margaret Campbell has been an attorney in private practice advising energy and manufacturing clients on policy, permitting and compliance under the Clean Air Act and state air quality statutes. Through the representation of electric utility and mining clients over the years, she and her law firm have been at the forefront of federal efforts to regulate greenhouse gases initially through legislation and ultimately under the Clean Air Act.
