Applications: This technology involves long range underwater acoustic communication that can be used in all depths and all waters and where high electro-acoustical efficiency and high power output over a large operating band is required. An additional application is for navigation of remotely operated vehicles and other equipment in Polar Regions under ice.
Technology: Double resonating tubes with thin walls and open ends are asymmetrically shifted along their main axis for transmission of arbitrary wave forms over long distances. The tubes are driven by a monopole acoustic source attached by shock mounts inside the inner resonating tube.
