You will receive 5 Bonus Points for each seminar you attend and there will be a door prize raffle at each seminar. The more sessions you attend, the more points you will earn. For Week 9, the winning team will be the one who earned the most points for attending these seminars throughout the Challenge.|
These are scheduled as 'lunch and learn' seminars, so please be sure to bring your lunch and sit back and enjoy the program topics.

Presenter: Laura Hartung
This seminar will address the benefits of keeping active, eating healthy, and staying motivated.
Presenter Bio: Laura completed her undergraduate and graduate in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Akron in Ohio and has been a registered dietician for the past ten years. Laura was on staff at East Carolina University, she created nutrition programs and healthy menus for the campus restaurants, lectured on numerous health and nutrition topics, and provided nutrition counseling to students and athletes. Since relocating to New England, Laura works as a Nutrition Director at Gold's Gym, and is also a certified personal trainer. Previously, Laura was on staff at Babson College as the Nutritionist for Student Health and Athletic Department. Laura has published articles and presented at nutrition conferences on topics that have included vegetarian, weight gain, healthy eating, obesity, eating disorders, and diets of athletes.

How to exercise effectively and safely. What are the parameters?
Muscle loss with aging.
How to reverse muscle loss through exercise.
Negative health effects of increasing body fat.
How to decrease your body fat through exercise.
Presenter Bio: Rose has a Master's degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. She is certified as a program director and wellness coach from the American College of Sports Medicine, and has been working in Cardiac Rehab for 22 years.

This seminar will explain Delta Dental's philosophy of 'Pre.ven.tist.ry' which is a prevention-focused approach to better oral health that engages members and empowers their dentists. Dr. Williams will discuss the importance and significance of 'Oral Health to Overall Health.'

Did you know your dentist can diagnose over 120 disease symptoms just by looking in your mouth during a routine exam? This presentation will cover topics such as dental disease and health problems and how routine, preventive check-ups provide dentists with opportunities to identify and intervene in the early stages of dental disease.
A representative from Delta Dental will also be available to address any questions about the WHOI dental plan.
Presenter Bio: Dr. Doyle Williams is the Chief Dental Officer at Delta Dental of Massachusetts, where he specializes in the evaluation and promotion of wellness benefits based on evidence-based dentistry. He currently serves as Chair on the Education Committee of the American Association of Dental Consultants and is a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Dental Plans, and has been featured on NBC’s The Today Show and Fox 25 Morning News.
