A team of WHOI researchers is towed from the WHOI research vessel Atlantis to a blue hole in shallower waters off Jamaica. They use long pipes to core into sediments that settled to the bottom of the blue hole. The sediments contain forensic clues that the scientists use to reveal past patterns of hurricane and ocean temperatures. (Nicole D'Entremont, WHOI)
