Photo Gallery: 3-D Laser Scan
My advisor, Michael Moore and I spent a sunny day keeping the coyotes at bay while Meridian Associates technicians completed a 3-D laser scan of suspended right whale bones. The vertebrae, ribs and mandible of a ship-struck right whale were expertly hung to create an immobile whale mobile that kept the bones steady during the scanning process.
