Professional History
Before becoming MPC Administrator in 2008, Mary worked as a researcher, writer, and editor specializing in marine policy and national security policy. Her research interests are concentrated in the areas of international environmental law and management, international organizations, and land-based marine pollution. She is the author or co-author of more than two dozen articles, reports, and book chapters in marine policy, and the author of nearly 20 Harvard and Department of Defense case studies of US weapons procurement programs and federal contractor business practices.
