Research Interests
I have used coral-feeding butterflyfishes as a model system for exploring various aspects of foraging ecology, life history theory, and disturbance ecology. Most recently, we have used maternal tagging of embryos to study larval connectivity and self-recruitment of fishes in coral reefs. My fieldwork is based in the south and west Pacific, including French Polynesia, Australia, and Papua New Guinea.
