Site Reports

Using the Site Reports feature of Dreamweaver allows you to identify problems fixed by the Clean Up HTML command and checks pages for other problems like missing titles and empty Alt properties in image tags. After the Site Reports locates the files with problems, you still need to open each file individually to edit it.

Exercise: Run a report on one or more web pages

  1. from the Site window, select Site --> Reports
  2. select the files to analyze from the Report On menu
  3. select the types of reports you want to generate
  4. click Run
  5. click a file in the results list to select it
  6. click the Open File button to open the selected file, or double-click a file in the results list
  7. when Dreamweaver opens the file, it automatically highlights the problem code
