Field
trips for student cadets, engineers, and technicians
The
community college engineers were enrolled in a class in mechanical
strength of materials. They hope to obtain jobs at local companies
upon their graduation from Bristol Community College. Many
of the students were people in their twenties and thirties,
working full time and taking classes to equip them for better
jobs. A field trip to Benthos,
Inc., a company that manufactures a wide range of oceanographic
instruments was arranged. Benthos also manufactures instruments
for the Navy and photographs inside the plant were not allowed.
