Nobska Drifter Deployments
Preliminary drifter tracks and a sample cruise track generated from data
collected by the R/V Nobska during the recent intensive operating period.
For the drifter tracks, the dots mark half-hour intervals, and the closely
spaced dots correspond to times when the drifters were in the water.
For the cruise track, a "boom chain" with a string of 22 Seabird
instruments with spacing that varied from 0.5 to 2 m was towed while traveling
at about 3 kts.
