Travel Information
Once you decide to attend the workshop, here are some ideas on how to get to the Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour Hotel: You can fly directly into Victoria International Airport (YYJ) from Canadian and US airports and get to the city via bus, airport shuttle, or taxi. The airport is 24 km or 15 miles from downtown Victoria. Since Victoria is located on an island, access by scheduled ferry and floating plane is available to Victoria’s Inner Harbor. A short taxi ride or a 15 minute walk or from the ferry and floating plane terminals brings you to the hotel, see Directions to the Clipper as well as http://www.marriottvictoria.com/global/contact.aspx
Ferry from Seattle A fast catamaran ferry by Victoria Clipper, see www.clippervacations.com/ and www.ferrytravel.com/seattle.html. The ferry leaves in Seattle only at 8 AM in the winter. The ferry takes 2 to 3 hours depending on the weather and in the winter, leaves only at 8am.
Bus and Ferry from Vancouver International Airport A Pacific Coach bus leaves from the airport every two hours during day time via the BC ferry (www.bcferries.com) to Swartz Bay and on to downtown Victoria. The journey takes 4 hours and includes a 1.5 hour ferry ride. Web-Site: http://www.pacificcoach.com/Bus-Coach-Travel/Crosswater/Vancouver-to-Victoria.
