If you would like to be a mentor or a mentee, please complete one of the forms below and submit it to the Mentoring Committee. Your application will be reviewed by the Committee and, when possible, you will be matched with an appropriate mentor or mentee from this program. If a suitable match is not found for this year, your name will be resubmitted for next year if you wish. All WHOI employees, postdocs and Joint Program students, are eligible to participate in the mentoring program. Each January the Mentoring Committee will accept applications for that year. Matches will take place and a training session will be held each February. New employees, students and postdocs may submit an application at any time, however, and the Committee will endeavor to provide a match. Training will mainly consist of materials on this web site and other educational aides available through the Committee. Participants should plan on at least a 6 month commitment. Applications are due February 5, 2008.
