Description
 An award given to an individual "for exceptional contributions not merely above and beyond superb performance of his/her job and service on committees, but for true selfless dedication of a major portion of him/herself to the entire WHOI community over a long period of time."

Nominations
Nominations for the Vetlesen Award, complete with justifications, should be submitted to the President's office. The awards committee will then meet to review the nominations and to make their recommendations to the President in time for the formal presentations at the Employee Recognition Celebration.
