We would like to welcome all of our foreign national visitors and their families to the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. It is our mission to assist invited foreign nationals, their families, and WHOI host departments by advising on federal immigration laws and regulations, and providing counseling on personal and cultural matters.
Many of WHOI's foreign national visitors come to the United States through WHOI's Exchange Visitor Program. Through the U.S. Department of State, WHOI has been designated as a sponsor of an Exchange Visitor Program to provide research opportunities in the various fields of instruction and research conducted by WHOI and to promote the general interest of international educational and cultural exchange.
We hope that all foreign national members of our community enjoy their time and experiences at WHOI, regardless of their length of stay. If we can be of any assistance at all, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Mass Immunization Requirements for International Visitors
To ensure a safe and healthy environment and community, compliance with Massachusetts Immunization Law is a requirement for all incoming international visitors.
While we strive to provide you with the most up-to-date information on immunization requirements, ultimately it is your responsibility to make sure you have the required immunizations.
For more information on immunization requirements, please refer to: http://www.mass.gov/eohhs/docs/dph/cdc/immunization/guidelines-ma-school-requirements.pdf.
