Blue Care Elect Saver and Blue Care Elect Deductible Plans

Employees enrolled in either the Blue Care Elect Deductible (w/HRA) or Blue Care Elect Saver (w/HSA) medical plans, the plans include both In-Network and Out-of-Network benefits. 

With these two plans, while traveling abroad, In-Network benefits are limited to emergency care only.  Whereas, with these two plans, the Out-of-Network benefits provide coverage for other services beyond emergency care.  The Out-of-Network benefits are subject to the deductible and coinsurance. 



Advantage Blue

Employees enrolled in the Advantage Blue medical plan are limited to  limited to emergency care only.

International Claim Submission

Most often, international providers will not submit claims to BCBSMA. 

If you have to pay out of pocket, you must complete the International Claim form.  The instructions on how and where to submit for reimbursement are included on the claim for and require that an itemized receipt and medical records in English and US dollars be submitted with the claim form.
