Binoculars
Martha Delaney and I were on the foc'sle looking for polar bears when
I spotted this photo opportunity. What first caught my eye were the
green lenses of the binoculars. The other thing that appealed to me
was the fact that she was so bundled up that you couldn't see her
face. I cropped the photo tightly so that the focus was on the lenses.
I must admit, it did strike me that she looked like one of those sand
people from the Star Wars movies...
