Science
- Chemical Brother
Aaron Morello from the University of Washington was probably one of
my most patient guinea pigs, I mean photo subjects. Since his work
space was right next to mine, anytime he was engaged in any remotely
interesting scientific activity (or playing cribbage), my digital
camera was out and I was snapping shots. This particular image made
my final cut because of the way Aaron's face is reflected in the glass
of the fume hood, and the way the curve of his left arm anchors the
bottom of the frame and leads your eye to the bottle. Also, in case
you are wondering about the strange title of this shot, it was Aaron's
nickname on the cruise - not only because he was always playing with
chemicals, but also the name of a popular British band.
