Experimental, Practical and Operational Current and Wave Monitoring Systems and Applications

Dear Marine Instrumentation Manufacturer

In June 2005, the IEEE/OES/CMTC Eighth Current Measurement Technology Conference will be held at the renowned Southampton Oceanography Centre, University of Southampton, located on the South coast of England.

This new venue for the Working Conference fulfills the need for a European forum for current measurement specialists and fills the gap between the 4-yearly US-based Current Measurement Conferences. The spotlight for this event includes Wave Monitoring and Emerging Technologies in Current Measurement.

Although trade shows abound, few provide a forum as effective as this Working Conference for attracting specialists in the current and wave measurement field. Here you have a unique opportunity to meet up to 100 qualified professionals from Europe, North America and elsewhere - including influencers and purchasers in the industry. This meeting will draw attendees from a wide area of current measurement science and technology, giving you very cost-effective use of your travel time and budget. And the format of the Working Conference gives you the opportunity to interact with every attendee personally.

On 28 and 29 June 2005, you and your company are most cordially invited to join us to exhibit your products and services and to present technical papers describing work you have completed. While this meeting has several distinguishing facets, foremost for exhibitors are the convenient space and ample time provided for you to interact with the leading figures in Current and Wave Monitoring and Emerging Technologies.

The last event during March 2003 in San Diego, California, rated an almost perfect score from an exhibitor's perspective on a checklist of success factors:

  • Attendees return repeatedly to the proximity of the exhibitor stands and are available for extended periods
  • Manufacturers are able to sit down for extended dialogue with prospects
  • The single exhibition area is adjacent to the conference room and provides the main entrance
  • Coffee and lunch breaks are held in the exhibition area, providing ample opportunity to connect
  • Manufacturers can attend all paper presentations due to the use of a single forum
  • Captive audience: all attendees stay locally and dine together

Exhibits should emphasise products, services, applications and experiences relating to Current and Wave Monitoring and Emerging Technologies. Organisations are welcome to send a short company background suitable for posting on the CMTC website, http://www.whoi.edu/science/AOPE/cmtc/2005. Please ask about our early-bird discount and the incentive for new exhibitors. The application form provides further details concerning exhibit requirements.

Please send your application with a deposit of US $500 to confirm your exhibit space. Payment may be made by cheque or purchase order made out to IEEE/OES/CMTC 2005, or by credit card - Visa or MasterCard only. Mail your application or fax the form with your credit card details to one of the following:

Do not miss this opportunity to connect effectively with the Current and Wave Monitoring fraternity at the IEEE/OES/CMTC Eighth Working Conference on Current Measurement Technology. Your chance to interact will not come again until 2007. We hope to see you in Southampton.

Please note the Oceanographic Centre is a non-smoking facility. If you are driving a vehicle, be aware that the Centre has limited parking facilities. Go to the Exhibitor's Handbook on the website for shipping information to SOC. Shipping arrangements should be made 6 weeks in advance.
