Bruce Crawford

The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution has received word of the death
September 6, of former employee Bruce Crawford.  He was  87.

Bruce began working at WHOI in 1966 as the personnel manager.  In
1973 he became the affirmative action administrator and recruiting
officer and retired in 1974.

He was the widower of Ann Holland Hoagland Crawford and Louise Perkins
Gebelein Crawford. Survivors include daughters, Alix Carney and Genii
Cockshutt of Miami and their husbands Steven Carney and Nicholas
Cockshutt; stepchildren Louisa Gebelein Jones, Anna Gebelein Keegan and
George C. Gebelein III; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
