Robert F. Kelley

The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution announces with great sorrow
the death June 10 of former employee Robert F. Kelley at his home in
East Falmouth after a long illness.  He was 78.

Born in Boston, MA, Bob served in the US Army during WW II. Bob had lived in Falmouth since 1969.

Bob began working at the Institution in 1969 as a senior illustrator and retired in 1994.  

Bob leaves his wife Letitia J. (Bolton) Kelley as well as one son
Christopher of Mashpee; three daughters, Felicia Gillespie, Elizabeth
Kelley and Kathryn Kelley, all of Falmouth; and five
grandchildren.  He is remembered fondly by his WHOI colleagues.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, June 13, from 5-8 p.m. in Chapman,
Cole & Gleason Funeral Home 475 Main St. Falmouth Center. A funeral
mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 14 at St.
Patrick’s Church, 511 Main St. Falmouth. Burial will follow in St.
Joseph’s Cemetery, Falmouth.
