Jim Avery

The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution announces with great sorrow the death of Jim Avery on December 1 after a lengthy illness. Jim’s wife, Susan Avery, WHOI President Emerita and Corporation Member, and her son Chris, were with him at the time of his passing. A memorial service will be held on January 4 at 3p.m., at St John’s Episcopal Church in Boulder, CO.  Jim was 68 years old.
