ITP132 was deployed on a 1.8 m thick ice floe in the Weddell Sea on April 9, 2022 at 70° 40.7 S, 29° 27.0 W as part of the UK funded DEFIANT project from the FS Polarstern. The ITP includes a second generation prototype MAVS current sensor operating on a pattern profiling schedule including 2 one-way profiles between 7 and 500 m depth every 2 days and a SBE-37 microcat fixed at 4m depth.
