WOODS HOLE PUBLIC LIBRARY (WHPL)

September 30 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The library and the Woods Hole Diversity Advisory Committee are celebrating National Hispanic Heritage month with a free screening of a new film about an aspiring toy designer from El Salvador struggling to bring his unusual ideas to life in NY. As time on his work visa runs out, a job assisting an erratic art-world outcast becomes his only hope to stay in the country and realize his dream. From writer/director Julio Torres comes a surreal adventure through the equally treacherous worlds of New York City and the U.S. Immigration system. This film was written/directed by Julio Torres, and stars Torres along with Tilda Swinton and RZA. The library’s licensing agreement prohibits advertising of the film’s title outside the library, so those who cannot figure out the title should call the library at (508) 548-8961 or visit woodsholepubliclibrary.org. This screening will take place at the library on Monday, September 30, at 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
