The Woods Hole Diversity Initiative will present the 2024 John Bullard Diversity Award to George Liles from NOAA Fisheries in a public ceremony at 4pm on August 5 in the large classroom at SEA. The Bullard Award is given biennially to a member of the Woods Hole science community who plays a significant role in making the community more inclusive and more welcoming to individuals of all backgrounds, especially from communities under-represented in marine and environmental sciences.  The award is named for John K. Bullard, a former president of the Sea Education Association and one of the founders of the Woods Hole Diversity Initiative. The award honors John Bullard’s leadership, vision, and sustained commitment to diversity in Woods Hole. The event is open to the public.
