Science Objectives

To carry out geophysical surveying (seismic and tow-camera imagery) across the shelf-break southeast of Martha's Vineyard over areas of potential fluid seepage and seafloor failure.

recovery of  5 seafloor instruments.

Deploy a wave-glider and collect a profile of towed magnetics data.

deployment and recovery of a shielded ocean bottom seismometer

Science Activities

-deploy LDEO seismometer
-collect an across-shelf magnetics profile
-recover 5 WHOI seafloor MT instruments
-deploy waveglider while MT instruments are being recovered
-tow a series of seismic lines with sparker source and streamer
-carry out a series of deep-tow camera profiles
