Science objectives

Continuing to complete PHASE I for the newly rebuilt HOV ALVIN.  This cruise will take NAVSEA and ALVIN personnel to sea to certify Alvin at 4,500 meters.

Science Activities

Alvin may dive 2 days to complete this certification.  Depending on weather, location and engineering dive day ahead of the actual 4500m dive.

Pre-cruise planning meeting: Visit WHOI

Will hold this after ALOPS return to WHOI after NAVSEA survey in December.
