Biodiversity for a healthy ocean
I am a biological oceanographer interested in biodiversity, distribution, and abundance of life in the ocean and on the seafloor. My specialty is deep-sea benthic biodiversity, although I also have a breadth of experience working at coastal depths. I also serve as coordinator of WHOI’s Ocean Informatics initiative, teach for the WHOI/MIT Joint Graduate Program, and am actively involved in public outreach.
I work on a broad variety of research topics, but the following theme captures the spirit of my work: “Biodiversity for a healthy ocean.” Browse the left menu for my research in the deep ocean, coastal ocean, informatics, and education.
