Overview

The Non-traditional Isotope Research on Various Advanced Novel Applications research group focuses on understanding the patterns, processes, and mechanisms of geochemical processes taking place from the core of the Earth to the edge of the Solar System. Our interests span topics such as:
  • Ocean (micro)nutrient cycles and the processes that drive them
  • Cenozoic ocean chemistry and the link to climate change
  • Hydrothermal fluid fluxes through oceanic crust and into seawater
  • Mantle geochemistry and the link between subduction and mantle plumes
  • Formation and evolution of continental crust and the mantle
  • Timing and effects of accretion and core segregation on Earth and other terrestrial planets and asteroids

We study these processes using isotope geochemistry in our state-of-the-art clean room facilties at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
