LAB MEMBERS
The lab group is just starting up, as I began my position at Woods Hole in July of 2012. If you are interested in joining my lab as a graduate student, postdoctoral fellow, or visiting student please contact me. There a number of exciting research opportunities involving climate and organic geochemistry. Go here to learn more about WHOI's postdoctoral opportunities, and click here to learn about the MIT/WHOI graduate joint program.

Dr. Jessica Tierney
Assistant Scientist
BIO:
Born in San Francisco and raised in Marin County, I've always enjoyed being outdoors. I received both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Brown University, in Geology. I like paleoclimate because it is a discipline that combines historical narrative with earth science. I became interested in molecular work during graduate school, and visited the Royal NIOZ to learn organic geochemistry. My research focuses on applying organic geochemistry to paleoclimatic problems, including use of leaf wax isotopes and GDGT proxies. I also work on proxy-model syntheses and statistical solutions to quantify uncertainty. [Download my CV]
