This two-part course is intended for individuals to learn HTML techniques sufficient to create and maintain their own homepages on the World Wide Web. The first session will be a basic HTML introduction and the second session will expand into more advanced features such as tables. Participants must bring some sample content in ASCII text format on a Mac or PC readable disk to the first class, and should leave class with HTML pages ready to put on a web server.
Prerequisites are experience using a WWW browser (ex. Netscape) and familiarity with a text editor (eg. Notepad or Simpletext).
This class is offered at no charge to WHOI employees, postdocs and students. Non-WHOI affiliated individuals will be accommodated as space allows and will be charged $65 for the class.
Participation is limited to 12 students per session - therefore, since we typically have waiting lists for classes, if you register but are unable to attend, please cancel as far in advance as possible.
