Introduction to Adobe Acrobat 3.0 for FastLane submissions at WHOI

Part II -  Lab Exercises
Clark 141

This seminar and demonstration has been custom designed for WHOI to assist in the submission of Fastlane proposals.  Monday’s session will provide an overview of the program specifically with regard to proposal submission.  Part II, on August 2 and 3, is the hands-on laboratory portion of the class.  Participants will choose one of four half-day labs in the Group Training Facility, Clark 141 in order to try some of the steps presented in Monday’s session and to have an opportunity for one-on-one instruction.  You must register for each part separately in order to attend.

The goal of this class is to explain the procedures to follow to create a high quality pdf file containing figures, images and text.  Topics to be addressed include the issues surrounding multiple platforms, operating systems, software and file formats as well as successful viewing of pdf files.

Prerequisite for Part II:  Participation in Part I  and completion of the on-line Acrobat test and technology census as outlined in the course description for Part I.

This class is offered at no charge to WHOI employees and is only open to them at this time.

Participation is limited to 12 students per lab session - therefore, since we typically have waiting lists for classes, if you register but are unable to attend, please cancel as far in advance as possible.

To register, use the on-line registration form at http://www.whoi.edu/education/stad, email training@whoi.edu or phone x3555.
