I. The Personnel Practices
and Procedures Manual outlines the employment policies and plans
currently in effect. The
Manual is not intended to be all inclusive and does
not constitute an expressed or implied contract between the employee
and the Institution. However, the Manual does define employment
conditions and terms and employees are expected to become familiar
with these practices and procedures.
II. When a particular benefit plan is referenced,
the specific terms of the plan will govern. Words used in the
masculine
or neuter gender will be construed to be in the
feminine gender where applicable.
III. The Institution reserves the right
to add, delete or amend any policy or plan at any time. In addition,
certain policies
may be amended or overridden by Federal and State
legislation and will be administered accordingly. Persons who
terminated employment prior to the effective dates
of a policy or plan (or prior to a revision) are governed by the
policies and plans in effect when their employment
ended.
IV. Clarification, interpretation and any
other assistance in the administration of the policies and plans
outlined in this Manual may be obtained from
Human Resources.
