International Committee

The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution's International Committee was formed to welcome and to help acclimate international visitors to the Institution and the community. The committee sponsors several functions throughout the year. You are encouraged to attend these fun and informative events so that you can meet members of the WHOI community and other international friends.

The Committee has produced the "Handbook for International Visitors" to provide information about the resources and activities in the Woods Hole/Falmouth area. In addition, tutors are available for English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) if you or your family members wish to have help in learning English or improving your English-speaking skills.

Community Helpers are also available to provide information and assistance. These people usually are not WHOI employees, but rather people in the Woods Hole/Falmouth area who are interested in meeting and helping people from other countries. Consider them friends you have not met yet!
