WFB's
College Resources
Through the Work & Family
Benefits, Inc. Values Package®, WFB provides extensive online resources
for students and parents planning for college, including:
- College Financing
Use the award-winning College Aid Calculator® to plan and estimate
your share of college costs. By entering your income, tax and asset
information, in a few easy steps you can calculate your Expected Family
Contribution (EFC). This is a primary consideration in determining federal
financial aid. You can also test different financial aid "what
if" scenarios and compute loan payments.
You can also link directly
to the website of Federal Student Aid, the resource of the US Department
of Education for student aid. The Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA) is also available. You can read about eligibility and
instructions for FAFSA, fill out the online application and check
the status of a submitted application.
- College Planning
WFB has brought together resources for planning for college. Included
is a College Search maintained by the Department of Education. You can
search colleges by region, type, instructional program, name or number
of students. Also link to the College Board and National Association
for College Admission Counseling for additional resources for students
and parents.
- WFB NotesSM
on college financing and planning topics provide a general overview
of topics and can be read online.
