GETTING ORIENTED : Before You Arrive
Now that you have accepted your offer of employment from WHOI, the first thing you should do is contact your Hiring Supervisor to confirm a start date.
After you have determined a start date, contact your Employment Services Specialist, as noted in your offer letter, to schedule an appointment to 'check-in' at the Human Resources Office . If you are eligible for benefits, an appointment will be made for you to meet with your Benefits Specialist.
To assist with facilitating the check-in process, you can complete certain forms in advance and bring them with you when you come to Human Resources. If you are a foreign national, a Foreign National Information Form can be completed in advance.
AN IMPORTANT NOTE FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS:
Foreign nationals are encouraged to explore the helpful resources in the "Information for International Visitors Brochure." You may also want to review information found on the following WHOI websites:
Foreign National Office
International Committee
AN IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THOSE RELOCATING:
If you have been offered relocation assistance, as specified in your offer letter, you should contact your Employment Services Specialist as soon as possible. All moves must be facilitated by the HR Office. For more information, please refer to the policy on Relocation Assistance.
