Thunderbird E-Mail Setup Instructions

The following are instructions that can assist you in setting up Thunderbird for reading and sending e-mail using the WHOI Network.  Before proceeding you will need to have an email account set up on WHOI's mail server and have Thunderbird installed on your computer.

Setup Instructions:

• Apply for an email account (New Users needing an account at WHOI)
• Install the program
• Email client configuration
• Set up the WHOI Directory (same as Netscape)
• Setting up the WHOI Newsgroup (same as Netscape)
• Protecting Against Email Attacks (same as Netscape)
