Windows 2000 TCP/IP Configuration

TCP/IP Setup

From My Computer | Control Panel | Network and Dial-up Connections: 

If Local Area Connection exists,  click here to go to TCP/IPconfiguration.

If not,

  • choose Make New Connection and choose Next>.
  • Select Dial-up to the Internet, then Next>.

  • Select I want to set up my Internet connection manually …., then Next>


  • Select I connect through a local area network (LAN), then Next>.

  • You may see the following.  Choose OK.

  • No proxy settings are required at this time.  Choose Next>.

  • When prompted to Set Up Your Internet Mail Account, choose No, then Next>.
  • Clear the box for To connect to the Internet immediately… and choose Finish.
