read the archive
Reading the CD-ROM or DVD
If you have used CIS's e-mail archive service you can use EmEx,
the java application developed by Adam Shepherd of CIS specifically
to read these archives. Also, if you have created an archive of
your Local Folders using Netscape 4.x or 7.x then you will be
able to use EmEx.
Please read the brief introduction into the use
of EmEx.
On the archive are e-mail containers, which are just ASCII or
text files and there are possibly folders which contain more text
files. The e-mail text files on the archive can be read directly
(cat, type, more, less) or loaded into any application that can
read text files.Please consider deleting the archived folders
from the e-mail server, after you have confirmed that you can
read the CD / DVD.
