Virus outbreaks at WHOI have been frequent, yet not too destructive thanks to the WHOI community's efforts in reporting virus infections quickly. The key to preventing any mischievous activity at the desktop level is the awareness of its users. We can provide you with all the virus tools, but if you do not implement and uphold them, your efforts are lost within the rapid evolution of computer virii.
