WHOI Wireless Network Configurations

Once you have registered your wireless network interface, you will have available to you standard WHOI wireless networks. The preferred network is Arctic because it does not require VPN, in fact you cannot use VPN on it.

Arctic

Connect using your RAS / VPN credentials. Once connected, your address will be on whoi.edu.

Atlantic

  1. This network is likely to be the one selected by your wireless client.
  2. If it is not currently selected, choose it from the list of offered networks.
  3. Start your VPN client and enter your password (hint: this is the same as your RAS password)
  4. Once connected, your address will be on whoi.net.
